ACTIONS in Round 6
  1. We met DM Gorakhpur Ravi Kumar NG and furtherance of our previous meetings, discussions he introduced us with D.P.R.O. Mr. Bharti and other officials.
  2. We discussed our concern with Mr Bharti and the officials and given them our report which we have made for the DM.
  3. Mr. Bharti agreed to visit the village and take appropriate action.
  4. We visited the village together same day and took up all the issues of all the four villages Sonayeecha, Asthaulla, Madhiwaan and Bela Bir bhaan.
  5. He proposed to conduct a chaupaal and listen to all the villagers on a scheduled day decided by the villagers. Date was narrowed to either 6th or 7th August.
  6. He gave instruction to the respective officials on various issues like Samudaik Vikas kendra of Sonayeecha and Asthaulla village, Panchayat bhavan of sonayeecha, Sonayeecha's internal newly made road of brick, Drains, Toilets of the villagers, etc
  7. He discussed on the various points of the report we have submitted him and assured to get many of them done. Details will be shared soon.
  8. We did counseling of village boys on career and education front. 
  9. We had a volunteer Akash Keshav Singh a student from IIT Gandhinagar, Gujrat.
  10. He had been a very motivating example for the youths after he shared his experiences.
  11. We met Dr Sanjay Srivastava - Owner Medha Matsya Prajnana Kendra. A renowned person of his field, who has done his Phd in fisheries 24 years ago. Since then he had been a catalyst in fisheries growth in eastern UP. He had been given may awards for his work. He has agreed to train and spread his knowledge for the benefit of the society and village under a organised framework. We met him on 7th of July,2012 at this fish farm near Nichlaul in UP.
  12. We went for recce to adopt another village which would be most backward in that area. We went to Narainpur village of Gagaha block, Gorakhpur on recommendation of various villagers but found it not to be qualifying as a most backward village. We will search for the same next month.
  13. We met Mr Bhubhneshwar a veteran environmentalist and a nature lover. He has been actively involved in planting lakhs of fruit bearing trees from last 30 years. He has agreed to help us and be a part of COMEBACK India in planting trees by various means. We might be having a van mahotsav in our August visit.

Husband of Pradhan of Narainpur Gram Sabha doing all the activities of a Pradhan other than signing the documents. What an irony he is a government school teacher and his wife, the Pradhan didn't came outside of his home to give the interview. we went for recce for the most backward village in Gagaha Block along with the ADO Panchayat. I wonder what education will he be imparting to his students.
